Make crispy, juicy air fryer chicken breasts fast. This recipe uses simple ingredients for a flavorful weeknight meal with minimal cleanup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 oz each)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Pat the chicken breasts dry using paper towels. This step helps achieve crispiness.
  2. In a small bowl, mix the Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Brush the olive oil lightly over all sides of each chicken breast.
  4. Press the Parmesan mixture firmly onto both sides of the oiled chicken breasts, coating them evenly.
  5. Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C).
  6. Place the coated chicken breasts in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they do not overlap. Work in batches if necessary.
  7. Air fry for 12 to 15 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through the cooking time.
  8. Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer; the chicken is done when it reaches 165°F (74°C).
  9. Remove from the air fryer and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra juicy results, pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness before seasoning.
  • If your air fryer runs hot, start checking for doneness at 11 minutes.
  • This recipe is low carb and works well for meal prep.
