Make shelf-stable gnocchi crispy on the outside and fluffy inside using your air fryer. This simple, no-boil recipe is ready fast and seasoned with garlic and Parmesan for a flavorful side or snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (16 ounce) package shelf-stable potato gnocchi
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Place the uncooked gnocchi directly into the air fryer basket. Do not boil them first.
  2. Drizzle the olive oil over the gnocchi in the basket.
  3. Sprinkle the garlic powder, salt, and pepper over the gnocchi. Toss gently inside the basket to coat the pieces evenly.
  4. Set your air fryer to 380 degrees Fahrenheit (195 degrees Celsius).
  5. Air fry for 10 to 12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even crisping.
  6. Check the gnocchi; they should be golden brown and crispy on the outside. If they are not crisp enough, continue cooking for 1 to 2 additional minutes.
  7. Remove the gnocchi from the air fryer and immediately transfer them to a medium bowl.
  8. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the hot gnocchi and toss quickly until the cheese melts slightly and coats the pieces.
  9. Serve immediately as a quick side dish or appetizer.

Notes

  • You can use refrigerated or frozen gnocchi, but you may need to increase the cooking time by 2 to 4 minutes until they reach your desired crispness.
  • For extra flavor, toss the finished gnocchi with 1 teaspoon of dried Italian seasoning along with the Parmesan cheese.
  • Serve these crispy bites with marinara sauce or pesto for dipping.
