Ingredients
Scale
12 large jalapeños
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon onion powder
12 slices bacon, cut in half crosswise
Instructions
Prepare the jalapeños: Cut each jalapeño in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and white membranes to reduce heat.
Make the filling: In a bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, cheddar cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder until combined.
Fill the peppers: Spoon the cheese mixture evenly into each jalapeño half.
Wrap with bacon: Wrap one half-slice of bacon around each filled jalapeño half, securing it with a toothpick if necessary.
Cook the poppers: You can bake, grill, or air fry. For baking, place on a baking sheet and cook at 400 degrees F for 20-25 minutes, or until the bacon is crisp. For grilling, cook over medium heat until bacon is done. For air frying, cook at 375 degrees F for 10-12 minutes, checking frequently.
Serve immediately.
Notes
For less spicy poppers, remove all white membrane from the jalapeños.
You can prepare these ahead of time and refrigerate them for up to 24 hours before cooking.
If baking, line your pan with foil for easier cleanup.
