Make this rich, creamy brownie batter dip that tastes exactly like raw batter but is completely safe to eat. This no-bake recipe comes together in five minutes and is perfect for parties or quick dessert cravings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box (about 18.25 oz) dry brownie mix (ensure it does not contain raw eggs or raw flour warnings, or heat treat as noted below)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 8 oz frozen whipped topping (like Cool Whip), thawed
  • 1/4 cup milk (any type)
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (for folding in)
  • 2 tablespoons sprinkles (for topping)

Instructions

  1. If your dry brownie mix contains raw flour, you must heat treat it first. Spread the dry mix on a baking sheet and bake at 350°F for 10 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 165°F. Let the mix cool completely before proceeding.
  2. In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese until it is completely smooth and has no lumps.
  3. Add the thawed whipped topping to the cream cheese mixture. Beat on medium speed until fully combined and smooth.
  4. Add the heat-treated dry brownie mix and the milk to the bowl. Mix on low speed until just combined, then increase speed to medium and beat until the dip is smooth and creamy. Do not overmix.
  5. Gently fold in the chocolate chips using a spatula.
  6. Transfer the dip to a serving bowl. Top with sprinkles before serving.
  7. Serve immediately with pretzels, graham crackers, fresh strawberries, or cookies.

Notes

  • To safely heat treat flour or dry mix using a microwave: Place the dry mix in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring well after each interval, until the mix reaches 165°F internally. Allow it to cool before using.
  • This dip tastes best when served the day it is made.
  • For a fudgier dip, reduce the milk by one tablespoon.
