Make these easy baked buffalo chicken sliders using Hawaiian rolls, shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and melted cheese. They are a perfect crowd-pleasing appetizer for game day or any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12 count) package Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 2 cups cooked, shredded chicken (rotisserie chicken works well)
  • 1 cup buffalo sauce
  • 1/2 cup ranch dressing or blue cheese dressing
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack or cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the shredded chicken, buffalo sauce, and ranch or blue cheese dressing. Mix until the chicken is fully coated.
  3. Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally, keeping the tops and bottoms together in two connected pieces. Place the bottom halves of the rolls into the prepared baking dish.
  4. Spread the buffalo chicken mixture evenly over the bottom layer of rolls.
  5. Sprinkle the shredded cheese evenly over the chicken mixture. Place the top halves of the rolls over the cheese.
  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and dried parsley.
  7. Brush the butter mixture evenly over the top of the slider buns.
  8. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown and slightly crisp.
  9. Remove from the oven and let stand for 5 minutes before slicing between the rolls. Serve these game day sliders warm.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, you can mix 1/4 cup of melted butter with 1 teaspoon of smoked paprika for the topping instead of parsley.
  • If you prefer a less spicy flavor, reduce the amount of buffalo sauce and add a tablespoon of honey to the chicken mixture.
  • These sliders are excellent served with celery sticks or carrot sticks on the side.
