Make the ultimate crowd-pleasing appetizer with this simple, creamy chili cheese dip. This recipe uses only three ingredients and cooks perfectly in your slow cooker, making it ideal for game days, parties, or movie nights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (10.75 ounce) package Velveeta cheese, cut into cubes
  • 1 (15 ounce) can chili, no beans
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed Velveeta cheese and the softened cream cheese into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. Pour the can of chili (do not drain) over the cheeses.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 1 to 2 hours, stirring every 30 minutes until the cheeses are fully melted and the dip is smooth.
  4. Once smooth, switch the slow cooker to the WARM setting to keep the dip ready for serving.
  5. Serve hot with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks.

Notes

  • For a slightly thinner dip, add 2 tablespoons of milk or half-and-half when melting the cheeses.
  • If you do not have a slow cooker, you can combine all ingredients in an oven-safe skillet and bake at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through.
  • This dip pairs well with celery sticks and bell pepper strips for dipping.
