Make this rich, creamy chocolate martini using only three simple ingredients. It tastes like dessert in a glass and is perfect for special occasions or an after-dinner treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz Vanilla Vodka
  • 1 oz Chocolate Liqueur (like Godiva)
  • 1 oz Cream (half-and-half or heavy cream)
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Chill your martini glass in the freezer or fill it with ice water while you prepare the drink.
  2. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.
  3. Pour the vanilla vodka, chocolate liqueur, and cream into the shaker.
  4. Seal the shaker and shake hard until the outside of the shaker is very cold, about 20 seconds. This creates the creamy texture.
  5. Discard the ice water from your chilled martini glass.
  6. Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.
  7. Garnish with chocolate shavings or a chocolate drizzle on the inside of the glass before pouring for a luxurious look.

Notes

  • For a chocolate cake martini flavor, substitute the vanilla vodka with chocolate vodka.
  • To make a chocolate espresso martini, replace 0.5 oz of the cream with 0.5 oz of strong, chilled espresso.
  • If you prefer a richer chocolate flavor, use Godiva Dark Chocolate Liqueur.
  • If you do not have chocolate liqueur, you can use creme de cacao, but you may need to slightly increase the cream for balance.
