Ingredients
Scale
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or frozen and thawed)
1 tablespoon olive oil
2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
3 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely and pat them very dry with paper towels. Place the shrimp in a medium bowl.
In a small bowl, mix the melted butter, minced garlic, salt, pepper, and paprika.
Drizzle the olive oil over the shrimp, then pour the garlic butter mixture over the shrimp. Toss everything gently until the shrimp are evenly coated.
Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (195°C) for 3 minutes.
Arrange the seasoned shrimp in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Do not overcrowd the basket; cook in batches if necessary to maintain crispiness.
Air fry for 6 to 8 minutes, flipping the shrimp halfway through the cooking time, until they are pink and cooked through. Cooking time depends on the size of your shrimp.
Remove the shrimp from the air fryer, transfer to a serving dish, and garnish with fresh parsley. Serve immediately.
Notes
Patting the shrimp very dry before seasoning helps achieve maximum crispiness in the air fryer.
For a Parmesan variation, toss the cooked shrimp with 2 tablespoons of grated Parmesan cheese immediately after removing them from the air fryer.
If you prefer Old Bay seasoning, substitute it for the salt, pepper, and paprika mixture.
This recipe works well for a quick shrimp dinner or as an air fried shrimp appetizer.
