Ingredients
Scale
1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup dry white wine or chicken broth
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Salt and black pepper to taste
Instructions
Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season lightly with salt and pepper.
Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
Add the shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side until they start to turn pink.
Pour in the white wine or broth and lemon juice. Let the sauce simmer and reduce slightly for about 1 minute, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Remove the skillet from the heat. Stir in the fresh parsley.
Taste the sauce and adjust salt and pepper if needed. Serve immediately over rice or pasta for an easy seafood dinner.
Notes
For extra richness, add 1 tablespoon of heavy cream to the sauce at the end.
If you do not have fresh parsley, dried parsley can be used, but use only 1 teaspoon.
