Make this simple, flavorful olive dip in under ten minutes. It requires no cooking and is an ideal last-minute appetizer for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (10 ounce) can black olives, drained
  • 1 (6 ounce) jar green olives with pimentos, drained
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the drained black olives, drained green olives, softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper into a food processor.
  2. Process the ingredients until the mixture is mostly smooth but still has some texture. Stop and scrape down the sides as needed.
  3. Taste the dip and add more pepper or lemon juice if you prefer a tangier flavor.
  4. Transfer the creamy olive dip to a serving bowl.
  5. Serve immediately with crackers, vegetable sticks, or crusty bread for a quick appetizer.

Notes

  • For a thicker dip, chill the mixture for 30 minutes before serving.
  • If you do not have a food processor, you can finely chop the olives by hand and mix all ingredients thoroughly in a bowl.
  • This dip works well as a creamy spread for sandwiches.
