Make this incredibly refreshing and hydrating frozen watermelon smoothie. It is quick to prepare, uses simple ingredients, and is perfect for beating the summer heat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups frozen watermelon chunks
  • 1/2 cup cold water or coconut water
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lime juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Place the frozen watermelon chunks, cold water or coconut water, and lime juice into your blender.
  2. Add the optional sweetener if you prefer a sweeter taste.
  3. Secure the lid and blend on high speed until the mixture is completely smooth and creamy. Stop and scrape down the sides if needed.
  4. Pour the smoothie immediately into glasses.
  5. Serve this hydrating drink right away for the best texture and refreshment.

Notes

  • For an extra cold and thick smoothie, ensure your watermelon is fully frozen before blending. This technique creates the best texture.
  • If you want a low calorie watermelon drink, skip the optional sweetener. Watermelon is naturally sweet.
  • To make this a vegan watermelon smoothie, use maple syrup instead of honey, or omit sweetener entirely.
  • For a watermelon banana smoothie variation, add half a frozen banana to the blender.
